okay, why is it that an ex-wife can be voluntarily underemployed to receive more child support. My new husband's ex doesn't even work 40 hours a week. She lives off the state and has just filed a motion for more child support (which she got) to have her income lowered. She is lazy, has her ex-husband paying for her full-time childcare (mind you, she works part-time). They have 50/50 custody but she keeps her income way below what the original judgment put her at, and has now gotten it adjusted. She is one class shy of a master's degree and worked as a school teacher at one point. Now I am concerned that she is going to be coming after my portion of the household income because she is such a mean greedy person.

Great Blog, I do agree. But they forgot The Divorce Saloon (www.marionlewisesq.blogspot.com.)
I like to think of it as a New York Divorce Attorney's provocative take on the divorce process. It is reader friendly, funny (sometimes) and slightly outrageous. But very informative. Check it out: The Divorce Saloon.

Sounds like you haven't seen divorce360.com. It's a good reference site, plus it has a community.

My son thru paternity testing was found to be the dad of LILY at age 7 months. She is now 1 yr. It doesn't seem to matter what he does at this point, he is wrong; doing wrong and without rights in the eyes of the mother, although she degraded him and spread the news that he was a dead beat dad in our small community. He has stepped up to the plate but she now complains about his every move, micro manages his life in order to see Lily. The court gave him 1 day a week. She has since denied that. She feels he doesn't pay enough attention to her. How would she know? She also demanded that I, his mom, supervise visitation. I live up north, he lives on the coast! She said if I want to see Lily I can file my own visitation order. He mother, who abandoned her at 14/15 advocates for the absurd lies and conspiracy to disallow any visitation; and yes, they still want the money. How does a 25 yo lobsterman, making little money, fight the forces of 2 very loud manipulative lying protectors of Lily? Is there any free help for him?

This is an excellent resource. Having restricted my practice to divorce and family law for the past 10 years I know that people need all the help they can get.
For those who are in Rhode Island I've tried to make sure our citizens have a resource of their own. I am hopeful that my blog will merit inclusion in the left border of this page as Rhode Island's Representative.
My blogsite for Rhode Island can be found at http://www.RhodeIslandDivorceTips.com for those who need a Rhode Island Divorce Lawyers take on the state of things here in Rhode Island.
